Carpinteria

Went to one of the cleanest beaches I've ever been to over the weekend, and still discovered tons of trash scattering the beach.  Jake and I went on a mission up and down the beach about 4 miles there and back picking up our surroundings.  I had three people tell me they appreciated what I was doing, one of the people first questioning what exactly I was collecting, and countless confused stares as I walked around them cleaning the beach.  It is so sad that people were confused by what I was doing, when picking up your surroundings has been such a natural action instilled in me at a young age.
We found:
a eaten corn on the cobb
3 random flip flops
2 washed up pairs of socks
4 broken eggs
various hair bands
a hard plastic bracelet
numerous amounts of empty snack wrappers
a water bottle full of sand (making my bag SO heavy)
an apple core
a plastic army man
a broken plastic shovel
and MANY MANY MANY more random objects...
